Sarah Keys is a Founding Partner at Cardan Capital Partners. With a career that spans financial services, law and international affairs, Sarah brings deep knowledge to the firm. She has been integral to shaping financial strength for individuals and families by providing comprehensive, customized financial advice and investment strategies designed to grow and preserve wealth.

Sarah has worked as a wealth management advisor for more than a decade. Prior to that, she was a practicing family law attorney.  This background has provided a unique view into the often sensitive issues that come with growing, managing and safeguarding the wealth of family-based assets. Her experience and desire to provide exceptional service were evident in the relationships she built with clients and companies in her practice. Earlier in her career, Sarah worked with Fortune 500 executives to help prepare them for the cultural challenges of living and doing business abroad.

Sarah has a Master’s degree in International Business Transactions from the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business. As an undergraduate at the University of Colorado Boulder, Sarah earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, was a Harvard Model U.N. participant and member of Sigma Iota Rho, the national honors society for International Affairs. She earned her J.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder where she was Vice President of the Rothgerber Moot Court Program. She also clerked for the Honorable Wiley Y. Daniel of the U.S. District Court of Colorado.

Sarah holds the professional designation of Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (“CDFA®”).  The CDFA® is a specialized designation focused on pre-divorce financial planning. A CDFA® helps guide a divorcing couple through financial issues that will affect their lives including property valuation and division, retirement assets and pensions, spousal and child support, tax considerations, and expert witness testimony.  In 2018, Sarah completed the exclusive Schwab Executive Leadership Program with 39 other advisors nationally. The program, led by faculty from Wharton, Harvard and MIT, is designed to give individuals in management roles the tools they need to successfully lead their firm. She currently is a member of the Board of Directors and sits on the Finance Committee for Denver Dumb Friends League.
