Founding Partner Matt Papazian has been advising corporate executives, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth families for more than 25 years. He has a lifelong interest in the global financial markets and economy, developing a broad and deep understanding of the myriad factors that drive investment performance. Matt serves as the team’s Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he focuses exclusively on managing the team’s model portfolios and creating custom asset allocation strategies for our clients. He is recognized for his skill in constructing and managing our proprietary portfolios and tailoring investment strategies to enhance the fulfillment of unique, often complex, financial objectives.

Before launching Cardan Capital Partners, Matt and our team were among an elite group of financial advisors vetted to manage money for the clients of other financial advisors and for Merrill Lynch/U.S. Trust Company.  Matt began his career as a financial analyst for a leading healthcare company. Matt is a nationally recognized investment expert and has been quoted in Citywire, the Denver Business Journal, Financial Advisor IQ, Financial Advisor Magazine, Financial Planning Magazine, and The Wall Street Journal. He has spoken at several S&P financial industry conferences and presented a number of webinars on various financial market/economic topics.

Matt is a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Finance at the Leeds School of Business. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® (“CFA”) designation and is currently a member of the Denver Society of Securities Analysts and the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts. Matt supports numerous nonprofit initiatives.
