Cardan Capital is pleased to announce that David Fox, our Senior Portfolio Analyst, successfully has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst® (“CFA”) program and has earned the right to use the CFA designation.
A CFA is a globally-recognized, professional designation given by the CFA Institute, which measures and certifies the competence and integrity of financial analysts. Candidates are required to complete a minimum, three-year, rigorous course of study and examinations covering several areas, such as accounting, economics, ethics, money management, and security analysis/valuation. They also must accrue required work experience.
As of yearend 2019, there were only 174,000 CFA Charterholders worldwide. Notable CFA Charterholders include Bill H. Gross, founder of PIMCO, and Howard Marks, founder of Oaktree Capital Management. David is the third member of the Cardan Capital Partners team to attain the CFA Charter, joining partners Matthew Papazian and Martha Awad.
As for David, he is pleased to take a break from all that studying. “I feel satisfied to have accomplished this stepping stone in my career, but equally look forward to continuing to grow my core competences in investment management and financial planning to become the best professional I can be for our clients,” he said.
